Little bit of project history…
This project started with playing with Solidity code and building something insignificant. On paper it was envisioned as an on-chain form submission app (alpha name “FormChain”).
As time passed by we moved our initial idea into code, steadily built on top of it and realized it could have a huge potential (thus the code-name “The Book Coin”).
Nowadays we call it “Plunid” (PLatform for UNique IDentification) and it’s grown into a multi-purpose on-chain identity provider.
Idea 3, 2, 1, go!
We bought our first Ethereum & Solidity courses on Udemy.
Alpha name was “FormChain“
Git init
Initial git commit for TBC (original code name was “The Book Coin”).
“The Book Coin” is now “PLUNID”
That is when we decided to rename it to Plunid (since we are a PLatform for UNique IDentification).
Tether IN
Started integration with Tether.
Website added
Started building Plunid website and integrating Plunid forms.
Tether OUT, Matic IN
Poligon network gave us lower fees, better performance and scalability, so we dumped Tether integration and switched from Ethereum to Poligon blockchain.
Connected profiles
We added option for creating Connected profiles. Those would be non-identifying ETH addresses which would be used just like a bank credit cards.
Optimizations
Contract optimizations & dev environment updates
Cryptography
Added strong profile password for profile field encryption.
Share profile data
Implemented feature to share part of your profile data with authority as a way to identify yourself.
